We Need Your Help
The Boca Grande Fire Department needs your donations to get back on track. Over the past 5 years our department and fleet suffered from an accumulation of unexpected events. The Covid-19 Pandemic caused staffing and supply chain issues. We powered through Hurricanes Irma, Idalia and Debby, but our facility and apparatus suffered major wear and tear from the high winds of Ian, and saltwater flooding on the island from Helene and Milton.
Today, the price of a new fire vehicle increases 10-20% annually, and the manufacturing waiting period is 3-4 years, accelerating the need for funds today.
The current truck price is $1,813,774 with a completion date of approximately 37-39 months.
We are reaching out to the community for help to raise funds to replace our aging ladder truck damaged from these storms.
